Be sure to write down or download the backup codes which you can use to log in if you don't have access to email or your smartphone (more on that below).\n\n## Enable authenticator app method\n\n###Prerequisite \n\nBefore you can use this authentication method, you should download and install the authenticator app for your smartphone depending on your OS, for example:\n\n  * Android, iOS, and Blackberry: Google Authenticator\n  * Android and iOS: Duo mobile\n  * Windows Phone: Authenticator \n\n###Procedure\n\nTo enable the Authenticator method:\n\n1. Log in to your Cavatica account.\n2. Click on your username in the upper right corner and choose **Account settings**.\n3. Enter the 6 digit code and confirm.\n7. Click **Enable**.\n\nThe authenticator app method is now enabled. You can disable it at any time by clicking **Turn off**.\n\n##Enable email authentication\n\nTo enable the email authentication method:\n\n1. Log in to your Cavatica account.\n2. Click on your username in the upper right corner and choose **Account settings**.\n3. Set up two-factor authentication
